Travelling to the furthest away game and coming off the back of two draws, EG A were looking to secure their first win of the season.

EG started the game very well, looking confident and calm on the ball and quickly went 2-0 up. At the end of the first quarter the game looked under control and the plan to keep things settled was working.

A few late comers for MK boosted their squad size at the first break and the change of their defence players impacted EG’s ability to drive to goal. The second quarter saw a more even period of play with MK getting back into to the game. By half time the score was closer at 4-3. EG were still ahead but clearly not as comfortable as in the first quarter; the win was still well within reach.

The third quarter saw EG slow down EG’s defence continued to keep them in the game although a few small mistakes were creeping in. By the end of the third it was all square at 6-6. All to play for.

The last quarter saw EG take more control again and we took the lead with 14 minutes to go. A one goal lead was not enough and EG continued to press for another, Coming close a few times. MK managed to turn the ball over, with just 5 minutes to go they equalised. EG held the ball and continued to press for a winner but the clock ran out; EG’s third draw in a row.
